Lutheran Church of Seattle <\/em>&#8212; ar piez\u012bmi, <em>Okup\u0101cijas Muzejam &#8212; <\/em>un nos\u016bt\u012bt uz bazn\u012bcas adresi:\u00a0 11710 &#8211; 3rd Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Dear friends,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This Worship service of remembrance is in Latvian. \u00a0\u00a0June 14, 1941 is a date that is engraved in sorrow on our hearts, when 15, 424 of our fellow citizens were loaded in cattle cars and deported to Siberia.\u00a0 Eight years later, on March 25, 1949 and even greated number, 42, 125 suffered the same evil.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>We will remember them through poetry written at the time of the deportations, thank-you Dr. Vaira Christopher, Jan\u012bna Jan\u0161\u0113vica and Inta Wiest for choosing the poems and reading them in the service.\u00a0 The calla lilies on the altar come from the garden of L\u012bvija and Edv\u012bns Circenis.\u00a0 Dr. Andris \u0100boli\u0146\u0161, our organist, also brought\u00a0 flowers in the colors of Latvia\u2019s flag&#8211;we placed them next to the Resurrection candle to remind ourselves of the light of hope in our lives.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Thank you to Pauls Zommers, who makes our videos each week, to Andrejs Zommers, who places them on the internet, and to \u0112riks Raisters, who sends them into our e-mail boxes!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>On this Remembrance day we invite those, who would like, to donate to the Museum of Occupation in Riga through our church.\u00a0 Checks may be written to Seattle Latvian Ev.
